WHERE GREEN MEETS BLUE
“ Having spent a decade working on sailing boats, I had witnessed the plague of plastic devastating marine life first hand. No matter how remote the destination, evidence of mans complacency could be found whether in the form of a floating flip flop or tampon, or micro plastics creating ominous multicoloured sand.
Crossing those vast Oceans, there was a lot of time to reflect on how to play a part in helping to protect the world beneath the surface.
Bikinis were always the passion but through those years spent on the water, sustainability became the mission. ”

KEEP IT CLEAN
Swimwear typically uses plastic based materials, so in order to reduce the waste in our Oceans and still create a beautiful product the elegant solution was to recycle.
We sourced a fabric made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon; created from waste such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic sourced from landfills and oceans across the globe.
Through a radical regeneration process, the nylon is recycled right back to its original purity resulting in a strong, luxurious material having a positive impact on the earth and oceans.
RESCUE
The ECONYL® regeneration systems start with rescuing waste otherwise polluting earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from all other the world. That waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all of the nylon possible.
REGENERATE
Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon is recycled right back to its original purity. As well as being a solution on waste, ECONYL®️ regenerated nylon is also better when it comes to climate change. It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared with the material from oil.
RE-USE
The regenerated nylon yarn is then mixed with an extra life lycra creating a beautiful stretch fabric consisting of 78 % RECYCLED POLYAMIDE, 22 % EXTRA LIFE LYCRA ELASTANE which we then use to create our swimwear designs.
WASTE NOT WANT NOT
We only use recycled and/or compostable products for our packing and mailing solutions. Our tissue paper uses soy ink and bleach free paper from sustainable sources. We encourage our retailers to ask their customers if they would like to leave the hangtags to be returned to us and used again which many choose to do.
We insist our products are not to be wrapped in individual plastic bags which is the standard practice from factory to business. Instead we ask for them to be sent all together in larger plastic bags which we then post back to our factory to be reused.
CLOSE TO HOME
To keep our carbon footprint to a minimum we sourced a factory in Europe, all our swimwear is produced in Spain.
Before producing our first collection we made sure we were confident with the working conditions and environment and now after many years, have formed great working relationships with the employees.
We produce small runs of each product to reduce unnecessary waste and will use the whole roll of fabric rather than switching up colours to keep up with passing trends.
